Service Description

Psychology consultations are designed to provide individuals with a safe and supportive environment in which they can discover and explore a variety of psychological issues and experiences, as well as gain personal understanding and insight into their lives. Face to face consultations provide the opportunity to have a confidential and in-depth discussion with an experienced psychologist, where a tailored psychological assessment is conducted resulting in an individualised and evidence-based approach to therapy. Developing a trusting and collaborative relationship between the psychologist and the client is hugely important in achieving successful outcomes. During consultation sessions, psychological assessment tools, skills and techniques are used to uncover potential areas of concern and help direct the individual towards appropriate therapeutic approaches. Sessions usually consist of verbal dialogue, but may also include other activities, such as cognitive behavioural therapy exercises or psychometric testing. By attending face to face consultation sessions, individuals are supported in understanding unconscious processes, gaining insight into problematic areas in their lives, better managing emotions, resolving inner conflicts, and improving upon their overall psychological well-being.
