Homeless people and health issues

Homelessness is one of the biggest problems facing Dublin, and unfortunately, the issue has been getting worse over recent years. The city's homeless crisis has seen thousands of people sleeping rough on the streets, with no roof over their head and no one to turn to for help. The situation has become so dire that many families are now relying on using sleeping bags to protect them from the harsh winter weather.

Unfortunately, the problem does not end at just cruel weather conditions. The lack of shelter and hygiene experienced by those living on the streets can result in serious health issues. In fact, research has shown that those in homeless situations are more likely to experience several diseases, including skin infections, respiratory issues and mental health issues. In particular, the issue of splitting diseases, which are caused by the unsanitary living conditions, is especially concerning.

As well as this, those living on the streets are more likely to face serious illnesses that can have long-term, and even life-threatening, consequences. Other homeless individuals have often reported cases of tuberculosis, an infectious disease that, if left untreated, can be deadly.

With the severity of this problem now being recognized, more needs to be done to help those living on the streets. Education on how to reduce the risk of splitting diseases and other illnesses, as well as access to basic amenities, such as bathrooms, can help to improve the health of homeless individuals. Charities and organizations in Dublin are now stepping up to help those in need, and concerted efforts to address homelessness are starting to be made.

In conclusion, the homelessness crisis in Dublin is deeply concerning and requires urgent attention. All those living on the streets should be provided with the necessary support and amenities to help them stay healthy and safe, as well as to help them move away from a life of unstable accommodation.
